New Year Resolutions

A good way to not break your vow is to try and spread them throughout the year instead of having them all at the beginning. In January you can start with baby steps such as, changing the batteries in your smoke detectors and battery operated clocks and watches. Like I said, baby steps. In February you could flip your mattress and clean those dust bunnies from underneath your bed or tackle the garage you have been meaning to get to.

If it is exercise you are looking to get into, try taking an after dinner walk. You don’t have to promise to do 100 crunches and two hours on the treadmill. This is completely unreasonable especially if you haven’t done a leg lift in five years.

The trick is to be realistic with whatever goals you set for yourself. This does not mean you should not push yourself, it just means if you really want to reach your target and you are someone who gives up around January 5th, try spreading your goals out. You may accomplish more than you think.
