Brush Fire Season

Here in Florida our winter months are known as brush fire season. There are many reasons as to why brush fires ignite. Lightning, debris burning, campfires, smoking and arson all can play a role in the ignition of brush fires.

Fire fighters offer a few suggestions to do to your home and property to help keep the risk of a brushfire down.

Remove yard waste that surrounds your home. This means leaves, branches, debris, and combustibles.

Disaster can Strike Twice

Who say lightning can't strike twice or in this case, a flood.

I recently was talking to a dear friend of mine who I hadn't seen for a while because he and his wife were on a lengthy vacation. When they returned from their trip they were hoping to do a little relaxation. That was not to happen as their home was completely flooded.
